A user account for your Tradecast video platform has a number of different roles that allow registered users to access your platform's CMS. In this article, we will go over the different user roles and explain what you can best use these roles for.
The different user roles make it possible to grant different types of access to the CMS to selected registered users. By using the different types of user roles, you can determine, for example, which of your colleagues may have access to which parts of the CMS. These are the different user roles in the CMS with their possibilities:
- Super Admin: an overarching user role used only by members of Tradecast's Support and Development teams for (product) support purposes;
- Channel Admin: a user role that gives the user full control over the CMS. The user can view the Dashboard, read and export content-related data, read and export user data and add, delete and edit content;
- Channel Content Admin: a user role that gives the user partial management over the CMS. The user can only add, delete and edit content and does not have access to data related to the Dashboard and the User Overview;
- Consumer: A user role assigned to visitors to the video platform who choose to register. Consumers can perform various additional actions in the front-end of the video platform, for example participate in a live chat and purchase content.
