The Tradecast platform allows you to present your audience with your uploaded videos as on-demand content, but you can also offer them in the form of an Article. An Article is a written message - similar to a traditional blog post - on your video platform. You can provide an Article with formatted text, hyperlinks and even images. The basis of an Article is always a video or image file uploaded to the VMS. Articles can be arranged and made visible on the frontend of your video platform via the VMS.
Adding and writing a new Article can be done from the VMS, under the button 'Media'. An overview of all written articles can be found under the button 'Articles':
Adding an Article to an uploaded video or image
Clicking on the three-dot sign (...) of a video in the Media Overview, allows you to then click on 'Add Article'. You will then be presented with a text editor to provide that particular video or image with an Article. An Article can be based on a video, but you can also upload an image via the 'Media' menu and then add an Article to it.
After you have indicated from which moment the Article should be visible, you can start writing. Different formatting options are available, which you might recognize from online editors like Wordpress and word processing programs like Word and Pages. At the bottom of the page you can check whether you want viewers/readers to be able to leave a comment underneath the Article. You can also save your Article here:
Visibility of an Article
Your Article will become visible under the name of the on-demand category associated with the video that forms the basis of the Article. You can find the Articles on the homepage of your video platform's web-based frontend, under the hamburger menu at the top right. The menu that unfolds when you click the hamburger menu shows two rows of pages: 'Vlogs' (the name the platform automatically gives the Articles overview and 'Service'. These terms can also be renamed and the visibility of the button for guiding viewers to your Articles can also be adjusted.
