To learn more about the viewing behavior of your target audience, the Interests feature can be a very helpful tool. Interests are terms you can create in the CMS of your video platform, which your viewers can select when creating an account on your video platform's frontend. Their viewing behavior is then measured by the selected Interests, so you can learn which Interests score high and which less high.
Creating and managing Interests is done via the 'Interests' button in the main menu of the CMS. There, you have the option to add or change Interest categories. Interest categories are shown when a viewer creates an account on your video platform's frontend. You can monitor the personal Interests of a specific viewer from the Interest overview in your CMS's Dashboard overview. The viewer, in turn, can indicate from which Interest categories he or she wants to receive push notifications or not.
In order to utilize Interests in the best way, it is important to first assign created Interests to videos you've uploaded to the CMS. This can be done - per video - with the 'Edit' button, then from under the 'Interests' option under the tab 'Extended information'.
Note: as a registered viewer, you will only receive push notifications of videos when one or more linked Interests fall under your personal Interests. In addition, push notifications must also be activated on the mobile device on which a viewer is using your video platform app (iOS and/or Android) and a user must also be logged in to the video platform app in order to receive push notifications based on his/her Interests.
