To present video that you've uploaded to the CMS of your video platform to your viewer, you need to provide them with an on-demand category. These categories - consisting of main- and subcategories - form the menu structure of the frontend of your video platform. This structure makes it easy for your viewers to navigate your on-demand video library and find videos under the categories you've assigned them to.
Creating and managing On-demand categories is done via the 'Media' button in the main menu of your video platform. There you will find the button 'On Demand categories'. In this screen, you can determine the menu categorization of your video platform frontend's on-demand menu.
Creating and managing on-demand categories can be done by clicking the '+ Add' button at the top right and by giving your on-demand category a name. Categories are divided into 'main' and 'subcategories'.
Note: you can only create a subcategory if there is already a top category under which that subcategory can exist. A video can only be linked to a subcategory, so keep this in mind when setting up your menu structure.
