The additional TradeCast feature 'E-learning' allows you to add interactive questions and answers to your videos to test your viewers' knowledge of a particular subject or to gather information. The E-learning module analyzes the answers of a viewer who has participated in a video with E-learning interactivity and provides insight into the results of each E-learning from the CMS of your video platform. In this article we explain how to add the E-learning interactivity to a video and how you can manage the settings of an E-learning video.
As soon as the E-learning module is activated for your video platform, this module becomes visible in the main menu of the CMS of your video platform. It is now possible to add the E-learning interactivity to videos that have been added to the Media Overview. Now, it's time to add this interactivity to a video from the Media Overview.
Adding the E-learning interactivity to a video
On the Media Overview, select an uploaded video to which you want to add the E-learning interactivity and click on the three-dot sign (...). At the bottom of the drop-down menu that now appears, you will find the 'E-learning' button. Clicking on it will open the 'Create lesson' screen, with which you can add questions and answers to the video.
First, you need to give the lesson a name and a description, which viewers will see when they click/tap the E-learning video. on your platform With the dropdown menu 'Results type' you choose what kind of questions you want to create for this E-learning. The options are as follows:
- Choices: a survey, in which each answer is 'correct' and you mainly collect information;
- Correct answers: a test or quiz with right (and wrong) answers. At the end of the video, the participant gets to see which questions he/she had right (and wrong). When the questions are answered wrongly, the video will not show this right away;
- Incorrect answers: the participant gets to see what has been filled in right and/or wrong and - if the answer was wrong - what would have been the correct answer.
To add new questions to this E-learning, click on the button 'Create question group' at the bottom of the 'Edit lesson' screen. This opens a new screen in which you can set up your questions and answers.
Setting up questions and answers
First off, choose the start time of a question. This is the moment when the video should pause and the question should appear on the screen. Next, fill in the question that you want to present to the viewers at that specific moment. Below that, you fill in a number of answers to this question, giving the wrong answers a value of '0' and the correct answer a value higher than '0', so that the viewer eventually sees how many points the correct answer was worth. With the button 'Add answer' you can create multiple answers for this particular question. When your question is completely filled in, click 'Save'.
Now that the first question has been created, you can repeat the above steps to provide your E-learning video with multiple questions and corresponding right and wrong answers.
