To embed a video that's been uploaded to your video platform's CMS - on for example a website - you need the embed code of that particular video. The TradeCast platform automatically generates a corresponding embed code for each uploaded video, so that you can easily embed this video or share the embed code with others.
You can find the embed code of a video once you have successfully uploaded this video to the Media Overview of your video platform's CMS:
By following these next steps, you can find the embed code of an uploaded video:
Finding a video's embed code
As soon as you are logged into the CMS of your video platform, you can find the embed code of a video by clicking the following buttons:
- Media
- Overview
In the Media Overview, click on the three-dot sign (...) of the video you want to embed. Next, choose the following option:
A dialog box will present you with the embed code. Click 'Copy' to copy the embed code to the clipboard, so you can then use or share the embed code or this video.
The buttons 'Auto play' and 'Resume timeline after video ends' can be used to determine what should happen after the embedded video has ended. The 'Share on Twitter' and 'Share on Facebook' buttons make it easy to share your selected video on Twitter and Facebook.
Note: an embedded video from the CMS of your own video platform only becomes visible if the video is also published (ie. has a current publication date). A video that has not yet been published, will not be visible as an embed.
