The videos you upload to the Media Overview will be made available to viewers in the resolutions you specified when TradeCast set up your video platform. Usually, these are 240p, 360p and 720p. More resolutions - or 'transcodings' - can be added, so your viewers can watch your videos in a higher resolution. This article explains how you can offer your videos in a higher resolution to your viewers.
Do you want to offer your videos in a higher resolution than the resolutions - or 'transcodings' - that are currently active for your video platform? Please contact TradeCast Support and indicate which additional transcodings you would like to use.
Adding higher resolutions to previously uploaded videos
Any video you have uploaded to the Media Overview of your video platform under the 'old' transcoding settings must be re-uploaded if you want to make it available in any newly selected resolution(s). If you want to use your already filled in metadata for this re-upload, click on the three-dot sign (...) of a video you want to replace, click on the 'Type' tab and then click on the 'Upload' button to choose a new video file.
Attention: offering additional transcoding means that an uploaded video has to be transcoded one or more extra time(s). The number of video-minutes is subtracted extra from the number of minutes in your chosen transcoding bundle.
